Hi Red![]()
Hi Onehope...I've only had one batch of trick or treaters so far...After Annabeth said she went through 18 bags I was getting nervous...now I'm nervous there may be too much candy left in the house![]()
![]()
I went through over 9 bags. We always get lots of kids. Now that my kids are too big to go trick or treating we have to buy extras for us.
I ran out of candy about 9:15 and turned the light off
I always shut my light out at 800. It is only teenagers at that point and they are too old (IMO) to be trick or treating. It is for the little kids.

Wow, I just had a big group...I ran out last year but only had 2 bags...this year I got 3...if I get a steadier traffif I will cut it down to one piece instead of 2...
That is what happens, you start out giving like 5 pieces and by the time the trick or treaters get older and have 5:00 shadows...damn you are out of candy, and you think " how many eggs do they have in their bag"?![]()
I don't care if the older ones don't get any...i want the little ones to be happy...

I agree, I do not let my middle schoolers trick or treat, they get to help hand out the candy< but once they get so old I worry about unsupervised trouble

We had a lot of teenagers only a few little ones. My son got a ton of candy but he was out with my little one........He at the last minute decided to dress I didn't have anything to throw together he wore his suite, tie, dress shoes the whole thing he got asked everything from being Bill Gates to being a attorney, he told one lady no I am not a attorney I am Judge Strickland she gave him a whole Hershey Bar.........but I agree if you are old enough to drive you have no business trick or treating go to a Halloween party like we used to do (ok maybe not a good thing either), if like my my son taking a younger sibling or niece or nephew I don't think anything is wrong with it JMORedHead wrote:onehope wrote:3riderboys wrote:onehope wrote:3riderboys wrote:RedHead wrote:onehope wrote:RedHead wrote:Hello Onehope, 3riderboys and Momgot

My older sons always took my younger one out when they got old enough too. They only volunteered because they knew that everyone would give them candy too. They hated it when the youngest was too old to trick or treat because that was it for them. Well have to go down and get the last load of laundry out of the dryer and folded.
Have a good evening.

I'm okay with it to...It all in the spirit of kids having fun...however, my roommates are Jehovah Witness and even when the 8 year old's friend came to the door and asked if she could see my little roommate, her father said "no"...I will never get that religion...No Chirstmas, Birthdays, Easter (although they go to their Kingdom Halls for the anniversary of Jesus' death)..Wasn't the whole point that he rose from the dead?....

Hello. I just saw his wife being interviewed. A true love story. Dirty Dancing is one of my favorite movies. Such a shame.
