Mother charged after child found outside in cold

WEST UNION -- The Fayette County
Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Jessica Lynn Mikesh, of West Union,
left her 4-year-old daughter in an unattended vehicle Wednesday as she
conducted business at the Fayette County courthouse.
Mikesh was arrested Friday and charged with Child Endangerment after a passerby saw
the child wandering in the parking lot after almost being struck by a
vehicle. The temperature outside was reported as being 1 degree below
zero at the time.
