"John Doe" - 13 yo/ Accused: Christopher Lewis and Deonijhane Menifield - Tampa FL

Tampa authorities arrested a couple and charged them with child abuse
after finding out they were using a Taser to punish a 13-year-old-boy
they were caring for, police said.
Christopher Lewis, 22, bought the Taser a week ago while taking care
of the boy, who is also related to him, the St. Petersburg Times reported.
Lewis and Deonijhane (Amy) Menifield, 19, “have been using the stun
gun as a form of discipline against the victim,” according to a police statement.
The boy, whose name is being
withheld, reportedly told an employee at his high school about the cruel
punishment, and the police were notified.
“We noticed visible marks on the boy that were consistent with his
story,” Tampa police spokeswoman Janelle McGregor told ABC News.
The victim is now in protective custody.
Lewis and Menifield were arrested Tuesday; Lewis reportedly faces
additional charges for carrying a concealed 12-inch hunting knife.
