Sheriff’s office seeking information on missing girl


TAZEWELL – The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about a teenager missing for more than a week.
Detective Mike Brown said Amber Shea Matney, 16, was last seen at her
home in Pounding Mill March 20. She was in the company of 21-year-old
Drake Norris from the Pocahontas area. Matney’s parents reported her
missing March 23.
Brown said she has been seen at the Upperclassmen in Bluefield and he
confirmed through video that she and Norris were there. He has also had
reports they were seen in the Baptist Valley area and at a Japanese
Steakhouse in Princeton.
He said misdemeanor warrants have been issued against Norris and a
juvenile petition obtained against Matney. This will allow them to be
picked up and held by authorities.
He said anyone who sees the couple or who has information about their
whereabouts should contact the nearest law enforcement agency.
Matney is five foot three inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and a belly button ring.
