A Cheektowaga man is facing a host of charges for allegedly being
involved in a long-standing sexual relationship with a young female,
starting when she was 14.
The Erie County Sheriff's Department arrested Brad Wesolowski, 49, on
Sunday for rape, endangering the welfare of a child, and other charges.
He's accused of having a sexual relationship with the daughter of a
friend for nearly four-and-a-half years, starting in December 2006.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges in other communities are possible.
The case was launched when the victim told a friend about the
relationship. That friend contacted the Sheriff's office after watching a
program featuring the department's Director of Human Trafficking
Elizabeth Fildes, who was discussing the problem of human trafficking
and teenage sexual relationships.
Wesolowski was arraigned in town court Tuesday morning where bail was set at $50,000.

Cheektowaga man, 49, charged as sex predator
A Cheektowaga man faces criminal charges for having sex with the daughter of a friend over several years, starting when the girl was 14, Erie County sheriff’s officials said Wednesday.

Brad D. Wesolowski, 49, was arrested Sunday on six counts each of criminal sexual act and rape as well as 12 counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Wesolowski was arraigned in Cheektowaga Town Court on Tuesday and is in Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The crimes occurred between December 2006 and March 2011, deputies said.
