"Baby Jane Doe" - 4 Months/ Accused: Jeremie Wayne Carr - Tidmore Bend (E of Gadsden) AL

The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office says they have taken a Tidmore Bend man into custody in relation to child abuse charges.

Eighteen-year-old Jeremie Wayne Carr is facing one count of child abuse for an incident at his residence on May 13.

A
four-month-old victim’s arms were found broken when she was taken to
the doctor’s office. The victim was then taken to the hospital for
treatment.

“There is never an excuse for this type of behavior
and abuse of this magnitude will not be tolerated in Etowah County,”
Sheriff Todd Entrekin says. “It saddens me and is so disturbing to know
that this small, innocent child suffered over the weekend before medical
attention was sought.”

Carr is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
