THIS IS A NORTH CAROLINA AMBER ALERT FOR A CHILD ABDUCTION
RALEIGH, NC (NEWS RELEASE) - The Raleigh Police Department is searching for a missing child
Maih Shecaniah Aal-Anubia is a 15-year-old Black female,
approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds. She has black hair, and brown eyes.
Maiah Aal-Anubia was last seen wearing a shirt of an unknown color
and black shorts. She was last seen at 1608 Bennet Street in Raleigh,
N.C. with an unknown direction of travel. It is unknown who abducted her at this time.

Update: Amber Alert Canceled for missing Raleigh girl



RALEIGH, N.C. - Nine On Your Side has learned that an Amber Alert issued for Maih Shecaniah Aal-Anubia has been canceled. Our Raleigh affiliate WRAL-TV reports that she was found safe today.

RALEIGH -- Police issued an Amber Alert Tuesday
for a 15-year-old girl after she sent her mother a text message stating
that someone intended to kill her.The girl's brother also
received a text message on his cell phone from someone who stated, "You
ain't never getting your daughter back," according to a 911 recording
made public Tuesday.The girl, Maiah Aal-Anubia of 1608 Bennett
Street in Raleigh was found by police about an hour after she was
reported missing in the 2500 block of Milburnie Road, a short distance
from her home.
Police are still investigating why the child ended up briefly
missing, Jim Sughrue, a Raleigh police spokesman said late Tuesday
afternoon.Maiah was reported missing by her mother at 12:30 p.m. She was found about an hour later, police reported.On
the 911 recording the child's mother told an emergency dispatcher that
her daughter had been gone for about two to three hours. The woman also
told the dispatcher that it was not the first time her daughter had been
reported missing.Police records indicate that Maiah was also
reported missing on April 12. That incident was reclassified as a
missing and endangered child case the following day, according to police
records.It's been a tumultuous past few months at the home. On
March 30, police responded to a report of domestic violence at the
residence and ended up charging Kamau Aal-Nubia with assaulting his
16-year-old son.Police accused Kamau Aal-Nubia of striking his son with his fist, police records show.
