declined to release the letter, but says she’d be willing to part with
it for a reliable car to take Timmy to work and the kids to school. Her
attorney confirms the letter is legitimate and that law enforcement has a
copy.But he believes Misty may be confusing the dock from the
one she claims Tommy pointed out to her one day when they were walking
near the water as the dock he watched cousin Joe Overstreet use to dump
the body into the St. John’s River early Feb. 10, 2009. “I think the
police actually have the right dock, but that Misty was confused and
just didn’t remember it right, he tells me.In the above jail
video, Hank Croslin Sr. tells his daughter mistakenly that we had
obtained the letter.We did ask Chelsea for a copy, but she
declined, saying she hoped to swap it for a car from bounty Hunter
Leonard Padilla, so she could take husband Timmy to work and her kids to
school. “I don’t want money for it, just a reliable car,” she says.

Two more Croslins jailed on drug charges

Another round of drug cases with ties to missing Haleigh Cummings, the 5-year-old who was reported missing from her father's Satsuma home in February 2009, are now working their way through the Putnam County court system.



On Friday night, Palatka Police arrested Lisa Carmen Croslin, 40, and Hank Thomas Croslin Sr., 41, on charges of purchasing cocaine, tampering with evidence and violating their probation in earlier cases. The Croslins' daughter, Misty Croslin, was watching Haleigh the night the little girl disappeared.

According to Assistant Police Chief James Griffith, the Croslins were arrested Friday night during an undercover crack cocaine operation at a home at 809 Bronson St. in Palatka.

"They came up and bought drugs," Griffith said. "(Lisa) was driving and (Hank Sr.) was the passenger. He went inside and bought $20 worth of cocaine."

According to Griffith, the couple was allowed to drive away and appeared to throw the cocaine out the window when they noticed police were trying to pull them over.

Both of the Croslins were already on felony probation, Lisa in connection with a forgery case and Hank Sr. for doctor shopping. They were being held at the Putnam County jail on Monday. They were both denied bond on the violation of probation charges.

Previous undercover drug operations in Putnam and St. Johns counties results in drug charges being filed against Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, 26; his ex-wife, Misty Croslin; his cousin Hope Sykes; Misty's brother, Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr.; and Misty's friend Donna Brock. They were all arrested and accused of selling prescription drugs.

Ronald Cummings tentatively reached a plea agreement with the state on drug-trafficking charges earlier this month and will likely be sentenced to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced in late August.

In April, Sykes pleaded no contest to a count of trafficking prescription narcotics and was sentenced to 15 years in prison, the mandatory minimum sentence.

Tommy Croslin also pleaded no contest and will be sentenced Aug. 6.

With so much attention, and law enforcement, focused on Ronald
Cummings and the Croslin family in recent months, the search is still
continuing for the person who is the reason their names have been in the news.
Haleigh Cummings disappeared in Feb. 2009, when she was 5 years old.
She hasn't been seen since.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Department of Law
Enforcement are still searching for the girl, who has been the subject
of an Amber Alert since her disappearance, though Sheriff Jeff Hardy has
told her family to prepare for the possibility that she is dead.
The search for answers continues, and there is a very large reward
being offered for information leading to Haleigh.
Crime Stoppers is offering the standard $1,000 reward, the Justice
Coalition has added $8,490 in reward money, and residents throughout
Putnam County have contributed $21,377.
That means there is more than $30,000 for the person who comes
through with the key piece of information leading to Haleigh Cummings.
Having sifted through thousands of tips, investigators know a lot,
but it could be as simple as one more clue that lets them put the full story together.
Misty Croslin, 17 at the time and the girlfriend of Haleigh's father
Ronald, was babysitting Haleigh and her brother the night she vanished.
The search was intense for several weeks, then tapered off.
In April, another tip led to a reintensified search, but turned up nothing.

Both of them, along with three other family members, were arrested in January on drug charges.

A vigil to commemorate the 18 months Haleigh Cummings has been missing will be held next week in Welaka.

The paternal side of the family has organized the memorial, which will take place at the First Baptist Church on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Annette Sykes, Haleigh's great-grandmother, said they are still holding onto hope that Haleigh will be found and brought home.

"It's just like an existence from one day to the next," Sykes said. "Is today the day, you know? Every day we pray that today is the day that she comes home."



A balloon release will also take place on Haleigh's seventh birthday Aug. 17.

Balloons provided by the family will be released at the Riverfront Park next to the clock tower in Palatka at 2:17 p.m.

Haleigh was born at 2:17 a.m., Sykes said.

Hank Croslin Jr. Sentenced To 15 Years
PALATKA, Fla. -- One of the key figures in the Haleigh Cummings investigation was sentenced Friday morning on drug charges.

Hank Croslin Jr., who pleaded no contest to two trafficking charges after being arrested in January during a drug sting operation, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, 10 years of probation and a $50,000 fine.

Croslin was arrested in January, along with his sister, Misty Cummings, his ex-brother-in-law, Ronald Cummings, and two other people.

Authorities said the drug charges the family members are facing are not related to Haleigh's disappearance. Ronald Cummings' 5-year-old daughter went missing from her Satsuma home in February 2009. Misty Cummings, briefly Ronald's wife, was the last person known to have seen Haleigh Cummings before she disappeared.

The kindergartner's body has not been found, but the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said earlier this year it believes she was killed and considers the ongoing case a homicide investigation.

Channel 4 had a crew in the courtroom for the sentencing hearing. This story will be updated as more information is available, with a full report on the local station at noon.

Misty’s brother, Tommy Croslin, gets 15 years for drug trafficking

Hank “Tommy” Croslin Jr. , brother of Misty Croslin, also in jail on drug charges, was sentenced this morning morning to 15 years in prison for trafficking in prescription drugs.Circuit Judge Terry LaRue sentenced Tommy Croslin to 15 year on the charge of trafficking in Roxicodone. Another sentence of five years in prison for drug possession will be served at the same time.

Misty Croslin, was the last known person was with 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings when the little girl disappeared from her Putnam County home in February 2009.

The drug-trafficking charges resulted from an undercover operation in January also included the arrest of Ronald Cummings, Haleigh’s father and Donna Brock and others. Croslin’s lawyer, James Werter, urged the judge to consider Tommy Croslin’s cooperation with with investigators in the Haleigh case. Cooperation?? what cooperation??

The prosecution which was seeking a 30-year sentence – countered that Tommy Croslin only came forward when facing serious prison time – and that he failed to tell authorities what had happened in the home the night Haleigh was reported missing.

This Tuesday marks the 18th month mark of her disappearance.

Haleigh’s birthday is August 17th, and whats left of the family on the ‘outside” is planning a balloon release in her honor. Maybe now seeing her brother get 15 years will refresh Misty’s drug clouded memory a little about what happened the night Haleigh disappeared

Antioch TN ---- Metro Police swarmed an Antioch home Sunday evening, the same one that
was once the center of the search for clues into a nationally-known
missing child case.Acting on a tip, officers search a home in the
1500 block of Antioch Pike. A sergeant at the home said officers found
what they believe to be stolen goods and narcotics. Officers detained
and questioned two men at the home.This isn't the first time this year the home attracted both police and public attention.In
April, Florida investigators questioned Joe Overstreet, a man who lives
there, in their search for clues in the disappearance of Haleigh
Cummings. Overstreet's cousin once cared for Haleigh and he, according
to investigators, was there when the little girl vanished.Back in April, Overstreet denied he played a part in the girl's disappearance.Police
did not immediately identify Overstreet as one of the two men detained
and questioned in connection with Sunday's investigation. No charges
had been filed as of Sunday night.As for the Cummings investigation, authorities in Florida have persons of interest, but have not publicly identified them.
