"Infant Doe" - 1 yo - Farmington (S of St Louis) MO

-A Farmington man is charged with child abuse, after a 1-year-old child was hospitalized for head injuries.
Timothy Portell III, 26, has been charged with abuse of a child. Bond was set at $75,000.



According to authorities the 1-year-old child was taken to Parkland
Health Center and then to Children's Hospital in St. Louis suffering a
moderate hematoma pushing through the brain on one side, retinal
hemorrhages, and seizures.
Portell told police he was babysitting and placed the child in an
unbuckled car seat on a table while he went to the bathroom.
Portell said the child was lying on the floor when he returned.
