Things about Kronk's story that bother me...
Kronk interview: 1st time:
Kronk worked route on suburban drive for the first time starting August 11th. He noticed a suspicious bag and white object in the area the remains were found. The items were in the water about 4-10 feet from dry land. Called crime line and left a tip. The day after met with a deputy at the area and deputy dismissed it saying it had been searched prior. Assigned to that area again in Sept or October, did not go into woods. Assigned again Dec. 11th. Went into woods to urinate and decided to look for the bag again. He discovered the remains. Thought he had called a total of two times in August but he was not sure.
David Dean’s statement to LE:
David Dean and Chris Gibson was with Kronk on Aug. 11th to show him the route. They stopped for a break on the side of the road under shade trees. Roy went into woods and was within eyesight of David. Roy said he seen a bag, David did not see a bag nor did he see Kronk messing with a bag. Kronk started walking and after being about 30-40 ft away said hey guys, I see a skull in here. David and Chris started walking towards, but seen a snake and was startled. Kronk came back to see the snake. Snake then became topic and they put snake in truck. David thought Kronk was joking because he didn’t mention the skull, bag, or anything about calling LE.
Chris Gibson ‘s statement to LE:
Couldn’t remember if Kronk went to urinate before or after they found snake. He didn’t remember any comments about a bag, skull, or bones. He remembered they were talking about Casey and how a wooded area would be a good spot to leave a body. Said Kronk never mentioned anything about calling LE.
Kronk interview, 2nd time:
Remembers talking to David and Chris about a theory of where Casey may have disposed of Caylee since they were around the corner from A’s residence. After talking about the theories, Kronk became curious and walked away looking into the wood line. He saw something protruding out of the water and said, “look, at that…it looks like a skull.” David and Chris started walking towards him and spotted the snake. After they looked at snake, Kronk pointed out the white object and Chris did not see the object, and David thought he was crazy.
Police account of August 11th:
First time he called, would not give name and did not want to meet with a deputy. August 12th, Kronk did not hear anything on news about them finding a body so he called again. Said he saw a silver metallic thing that looked like a vinyl bag and a little further up there was a little white round object. August 13th. He called to say he wanted to meet a deputy about a gray bag in the swamp area. Deputy met him there and Kronk pointed out a white item but it wasn’t as prominent as before. Deputy walked towards the waterline, looked around then got to within 6 feet from the object. He never touched it, and Kronk said he thought he saw a human skull but the deputy argued with him and started to leave. A second deputy came up, Kronk shared his theory with her but since first deputy had checked, she never looked.
This whole story of Kronk just does not sound right to me… MY POINTS
· They stop to take a break at the exact spot? I would like to know who decided to stop at that point
· The first day he is out in this area, he finds something… even thou the other guys do not see it.
· It is under water, so how could he see it? Of course, it does not say how deep the water is…
· The guys stop to look at a snake instead of going to see what Kronk thinks is a skull… then Kronk comes back to where they are, I would think a skull would be more important than a snake.
· After they put the snake in the truck, Kronk never mentioned the skull again? I would think you would go right back to it to show the other guys.
· Also, I found it odd he said since he didn’t see anything on the news the next day he decided to call again.
· 2nd interview: he said the guys looked and couldn’t see anything..
· 2nd interview: he went to look into woods because of theory he had it would be a good place to throw a body…
Maybe it is just me thinking it over too much, but it just seems odd to me…
