KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Police officers in Kissimmee said Friday they are looking for a missing 4-year-old boy.

Officers said Tatum Contosta was last seen at the Budget Inn Motel on East Vine Street in Kissimmee on July 14.

The boy's mother, Jessica Contosta, left him with 45-year-old Silverio Irizarry. She claims Irizarry, a homeless man addicted to heroin, was supposed to watch her son for about an hour, according to a news release.

Kissimmee police said the boy's mother was arrested on July 14 in Orange County.

KISSIMMEE -- Police said a 4-year-old boy missing for over a week has been found safe.

Tatum Contosta was found Friday morning at a Walgreens in Orange County. Police said he would be turned over to the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Tatum's mother, Jessica Contosta, said she dropped off her son at the Budget Inn Motel, in Kissimmee, on July 14.

A 4-year-old central Florida boy missing since mid-July has been found.Kissimmee
police say Tatum Contosta was found Friday morning in a Walgreens in
Orlando. The Florida Department of Children and Families will take

14 while she went to Orange County. The child was with Irrizarry Friday
morning.


Police spokeswoman Stacie Miller says Irrizarry won't be charged
since the child was left with him. But detectives are trying to find out
where the pair has been for two weeks. Police say Irrizarry is a
homeless heroin addict.Jessica Contosta was arrested July 14 on charges of prostitution and failure to appear in court on a 2009 theft case.

A boy who was missing from Kissimmee
for a week after his mother went to jail will remain in the custody of
child-welfare workers until at least a hearing Wednesday, according to WFTV Channel 9.

Jessica Contosta, mother of 4-year-old Tatum Contosta, left her son in Kissimmee with a man police described as a homeless heroin
addict on July 14. She was arrested the same day, and authorities had
not been able to find her son until Friday. The boy and man were found
safe and sound in Orange County on Friday.

The Department of Children and Families will retain custody of the boy until a custody hearing on Wednesday in Osceola County.

A Kissimmee woman who police say left her 4-year-old son with a homeless man has been charged with child abuse 4-year-old
Tatum Contosta was found on July 22 at a Walgreens in Orange County
near Sandlake Road and Orange Blossom Trail. He was in good health and
turned over to the Department of Children and Family. The boy had been
missing since July 14 and was last seen at the Budget Inn Motel at 307
East Vine Street in Kissimmee.





Police say the boy’s mother,
Jessica Contosta, left home Tatum with 45-year-old Silverio Irizarry, to
go to Orange County. While she was in Orange County, she was arrested
and told investigators she had neither seen, nor heard from her son or
Silverio since July 14.
Contosta told police that Silverio is not
related to her and he was only supposed to watch her son for about an
hour. Investigators say Silverio is homeless and has an addiction to
heroin. They say he was caring for the boy, not harming him.
Irizarry eventually called a deputy to arrange for a meeting at the drugstore.
Jessica Contosta is still being housed in the Orange County jail on unrelated charges.
