"John Doe" - 7 yo /Accused: Stepdad Kenneth Cole - Fairfield/ Birmingham AL

Fairfield police are investigating a disturbing child abuse case. They
say a 20 year old man tied his 7 year old stepson to a bed and beat him
on Wednesday evening.

Police Chief Leon Davis says at this point
they can only speculate that it was some form of punishment. But the
beating left bruises, a swollen lip and the imprint of a belt buckle on
the child's chest. Injuries Davis says are horrific.

The suspect Kenneth Cole is currently in the Jefferson County Jail charged with aggravated child abuse.
