SAMPSON MAN FACES MULTIPLE CHILD MOLESTATION CHARGES

A 66-year-old Samson man faces multiple felony charges that allege he molested young girl.
Samson Police Chief Gary Weeks said police officers arrested 66-year-old Leo D. Kay on Sunday, and charged him with first-degree sodomy, first-degree rape and first-degree sex abuse.
Weeks said police arrested Kay after an officer responded to a report of a sex abuse act made by the alleged victim’s relatives. Weeks said police arrested Kay around 6:40 p.m. Sunday.
Kay was taken to the Geneva County Jail. If convicted Kay faces 10 to 99 years or life in prison for the two class A felony crimes of first-degree and first-degree sodomy.
Weeks said more charges could be pending in the ongoing investigation.
