We’re getting a better idea of how much money was spent investigating and prosecuting the case against Casey Anthony.
The prosecution spent $141,000 dollars trying to convict Casey Anthony. The information was made public when it was filed in court by prosecutors that are trying to force Casey Anthony to pay. The records show bug expert Dr. Neal Haskell racked up $20,000 dollars in bills for his work.
Earlier this week, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation spent a combined $82,000 dollars. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office could file their expenses on Friday.
Prosecutors have filed a motion with the court seeking to recoup the costs from Casey. A hearing is set for August 25.
