Authorities Looking For Runaway From Golden City

It appears a 15-year-old girl from Golden City has run off with a 25-year-old man -- and authorities say she could be in danger.

The Highway Patrol is looking for Jasper Nelson, who was last seen by her family Sunday morning.

Investigators say David Plummer, the man she's with, has mental problems and has threatened to shoot anyone who gets in his way.

He's driving a blue Hyundai Sonata with Missouri license plate of PD1-J1J.

GOLDEN CITY, MO -- Law enforcement officials across the state are searching for a missing teenager.
The Barton County Sheriff’s Office in southwest Missouri issued an
Endangered Person Advisory for Jasper Fern Nelson, 15. She was last seen
at her home in Golden City on Sunday at 7 a.m.
Officials say Jasper and her small dog left with David W. Plummer, 25. The
Sheriff’s Office says Plummer has a history of mental disorders and has
told family members he wants to “get a gun and shoot anyone who gets in
his way.” The two left in Jasper’s father’s car. The advisory did not
mention where they might be headed.

The Barton County
Sheriff's Office has canceled an Endangered Person Advisory issued
yesterday for a 15 year old girl from Golden City, Missouri.
Authorities say Jasper Fern Nelson, 15, was located in Delaware unharmed.

Authorities also
located David W. Plummer, 25. He is in custody and charges are expected
to be filed once he is back in Missouri.
