The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has activated an Amber Alert at the request of the Columbus Police Department.They
say 13-year-old Fabiola Morales was abducted Wednesday night. Morales
is 5 ‘3, 110 pounds, and has brown eyes and long straight brown hair.
She was last seen wearing gray pajama bottoms and a green and white
jacket.The alert says the child may be with Luis Garcia, a 18-year-old Hispanic male
with short hair with spikes on the top.The suspect and Morales are believed to be
traveling west in a 1998-2001 gold Chrysler Sebring with Georgia tags.
Morales is believed to be in extreme danger.

COLUMBUS, GA- Authorities are searching for 13-Year-old Fabiola Morales. She was abducted by Luis Garcia from her home in Columbus, Georgia.

They may be traveling toward Mexico in a 1998-2001 gold or champagne colored two door Chrysler Sebring sedan, with dark tinted windows, chrome wheels and a picture of a bull on the fender.

Officials said they may have been traveling westward toward Alabama.

Fabiola was last seen at her home on January 12 wearing gray pajama bottoms and a green and white jacket. She is described as a Hispanic female, 5'3", 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Atlanta (CNN) -- Authorities in south Georgia are searching for a 13-year-old girl they believe is in immediate danger, police said.



The Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert on Saturday for Fabiola Morales, who was allegedly abducted on Thursday, Detective Lance Deaton of the Columbus Police Department said.

The alert says the child may be with Luis Garcia, 18. Police said there is an outstanding kidnapping warrant for Garcia.

"We have indications they are in Alabama. We're still running down addresses and phone numbers," Deaton said.

The suspect and Morales are believed to be traveling west in a gold Chrysler Sebring with Georgia tags. Morales is believed to be in "extreme danger," Deaton said.

Morales is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, 110 pounds, with brown eyes and long, straight brown hair. She was last seen wearing gray pajama bottoms and a green and white jacket.

A Columbus girl is back home with her family just days after her family
reported her missing. A statewide search was called off Sunday, after
13-year-old Fabiola Morales was found in Alabama. Now the man accused of
kidnapping her is behind bars. In NBC 38's Olivia LaBorde's exclusive
interview the young girl explains her ordeal.

13-year-old Fabiola
Morales sat across from her grandmother, uncle and two siblings as she
describes her alleged kidnapping. She says, "It was so scary. I can’t
believe I’m back home.”

She says longtime family friend,
18-year-old Luis Garcia showed up at her 11th Avenue home on Wednesday
night and asked her come talk in his car. Fabiola says she got inside,
and the next thing she knew Garcia closed the car door and took off with
her inside. Fabiola's grandmother speaks only Spanish. But she tells
NBC 38 she realized Fabiola was missing on Thursday morning when she
went to wake her up for school and she wasn't in her room.

Fabiola's
parents, siblings, and extended family all live in her grandmother's
house and she says they are very close. Fabiola adds, "When I thought
that I might not see them again, it was the worst feeling in the world."


The Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert
Saturday night. Authorities say Fabiola was found in Jasper, Alabama
early Sunday morning with Garcia. Garcia was arrested and charged with
kidnapping. Fabiola says she's not sure how the police found her, but
remembers Garcia telling his cousins on the phone that she was with him.


Luis Garcia is awaiting extradition from Walker County, Alabama
to Columbus, to face kidnapping charges. He's scheduled to appear in
Columbus for a Recorder's Court hearing on Friday.

Man pleads guilty to statutory rape, sentenced to 6 years in prison

The man accused in a kidnapping that led to a statewide Amber Alert earlier this year, pleaded guilty Tuesday, to charges connected to the kidnap and rape of a Columbus teen.

18-year-old Luis Garcia pleaded guilty to statutory rape and enticing a child for indecent purposes. A child molestation charge against him was dismissed.

Police say Garcia kidnapped a 13-year-old from her home in January. Her grandmother discovered she was missing when she went to wake her up for school on the morning of January 20.

Police say Garcia took the girl to Jasper, Alabama where the two were found three days later.

Garcia was sentenced to six years in prison, followed by nine on probation. Officials say he must also register as a sex
offender.

I think this guy deserves every minute of his sentence.

But I can't help but wonder why he was given more time than a pervert who forcible rapes a young girl.
