"Newborn Jane" JAMISON - 4 Months - Lake St Louis MO

Prosecutors on Oct. 25 charged Robert Jamison III, 22, of Lake
Saint Louis, with first-degree assault and child abuse for
allegedly breaking his 4-month-old daughter's leg and hurting her shoulder.


The alleged crime occurred Oct. 19 or Oct 20, according to court records.

Jamison does not live with the baby's mother. He was watching
the girl at his residence on Gascony Parc Drive.

At first he allegedly told police the baby was sleeping on an
ottoman, fell off and that he then pulled her up without difficulty, according to court records.

Later, according to court records, he allegedly told police he
had been sleeping and became angry when his daughter's crying woke
him up. He allegedly told police she was lodged between the couch
and the wall and when he forcefully pulled her up he heard a pop.

According to court documents, he was upset that he hurt her and
knew he was going to get in trouble so, in his anger, he hit her.

Jamison was in custody in the St. Charles County jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bond, no 10 percent.
