Police tell the Bangor Daily News that Amethyst Geiger is about
5-foot-2 and weighs 115 pounds with brown hair. She may have a backpack
and sleeping bag with her.

In the second case, police are looking for a 17-year old Bar Harbor
girl whose last confirmed sighting was week ago on Monday, Oct. 24.

The girl, Amethyst Geiger, is about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs
approximately 115 pounds, according to Bar Harbor police Officer Thom
Tardiff. Her parents have not seen her for the past week.

Tardiff said Monday that Geiger might be wearing a blonde wig but
that her natural hair color is brown. He said police do not know what
sort of clothing Geiger may be wearing.

“She had a backpack and sleeping bag with her, supposedly,” Tardiff said.

He said local police have been in contact with the Bangor Police Department and are investigating leads in the Bangor area.

ELLSWORTH, Maine — A Bar Harbor girl reported missing Monday has been found and returned home, according to police.


The Bar Harbor girl, Amethyst Geiger, 17, had been missing since Oct.
24, according to the Bar Harbor Police Department. Officer Thom Tardiff
said Tuesday that Geiger was located by her parents sometime late
Monday night or early Tuesday and has returned home to Bar Harbor.

Tardiff did not have additional details Monday morning.
