State to seek death penalty against Ocala man

OCALA, Fla. (AP) - The Marion County State Attorney's Office plans to seek the death penalty against a man accused of killing two women and two children.
Authorities say 31-year-old James Edward Bannister Sr. shot 8-year-old CorDarrian Hill, 6-year-old CorDerica Hill, 52-year-old Bridget Gray and 27-year-old Jocalyn Gray on Aug. 5. Deputies say
Bannister then set fire to their Ocala home.
The Ocala Star-Banner reports the children's mother died several years ago and they were living with Bridget Gray. She was dating their father, who was in jail at the time. Gray's daughter, Jocalyn, was dating Bannister. The couple had a 2-year-old child, who was not injured.
A grand jury indicted Bannister in August.
