TWIN FALLS -- The Amber Alert for a 4-year-old Twin Falls boy is canceled.

Twin Falls Police and Idaho State Police located Brandon Xander Bearce with his mother in a Twin Falls home.

Police say they are held up in a home on 780 Maurice Street. Police are inside negotiating with the suspect.

KTVB's Scott Evans is on the scene. He reports police have been at
the home since 12:30 p.m. Police say they received a tip to the home
after the Amber Alert was issued.

The alert went out for Brandon just after noon Wednesday. It said his
mother, 28-year-old Stefanie Contreras entered a home on Pierce Street
with two other men and kidnapped her son. They left in a newer model,
dark-colored minivan with tinted windows.

Shots were fired during the abduction.

Brandon has blonde hair, green eyes, and is about two feet, 10 inches
tall. He weighs about 50 pounds. He was last seen wearing red "Cars"
pajamas and no shoes.

Stefanie Contreras has brown eyes and black hair. She is about 5'7"
tall, 160 pounds. She has two star tattoos. One tattoo is on her
chest, and the other is on her right calf.

Update: SWAT Team Still Negotiating with Kidnapping Suspect

A SWAT team continues to negotiate with the suspect in the Twin Falls Kidnapping.

An AMBER alert for Brandon Bearce, 4, has been canceled but authorities continue to work towards his release.

Thanks to a tip, police located Brandon and his mother, Stefanie
Contreras, 28, in another Twin Falls home at 780 Maurice Street.

Detectives reported that Contreras entered a home on Pierce Street Wednesday
morning with two other men and kidnapped Brandon. The suspects took off
with the boy in a newer model, maroon-colored minivan with dark tinted windows.

Police also say shots were fired at the time of the abduction.

TWIN FALLS - A child abducted Wednesday morning in Twin Falls
was found later that evening in Hailey.


Earlier in the day, Twin Falls police believed they
located Brandon Xander Bearce - the 4-year-old who was the subject
of a state-wide Amber Alert earlier today - at a Twin Falls
residence. Upon entering the home, Allen said, neither the boy nor
his abductor were present.



Bearce was abducted from his Twin Falls home just before 10 a.m.
by his mother, Stefanie Marie Conteras. Shot were fired at the time
of the abduction.
Hailey police, working in conjunction with Twin Falls police,
found the boy and his mother shortly before 9 p.m. Conteras and two
other suspects were arrested. The child was not harmed.
