Police have issued an alert for a
missing 16-year-old South Side girl who sent a text message earlier
Saturday afternoon saying that she was running from someone and was out of breath.

The message that Porsche Jones left was cut off
before she could give her location, an alert from Wentworth Area Special
Victims Unit detectives said.

The girl, who has asthma, was last seen Friday in the 4400 block of South Leamington, the alert said.

Porsche sent a text message on Saturday at 12:38
p.m., stating that she ran from someone and was outdoors and out of
breath, the alert said. The message was cut off before the missing girl
could give her location.

When she went missing Porsche was wearing a brown
collared shirt, blue jeans, and brown boots and a thin black jacket. She
was wearing her hair pulled back in a bun with brown highlights.

Police are asking if anyone sees her to call detectives at (312) 747-8385.
