Sister: Disappearance of young mother, toddler is 'very fishy'

HOUSTON – A young mother and her 2-year-old son are
missing and family members are worried that something bad has happened to them.

Angela Ndibe, 26, and her 2-year-old son, Kanyechukwu, live in an apartment in the 9000 block of Jones Road near Jersey Village.

Ndibe last called her family in Michigan about a week ago. They say she normally keeps in constant touch.

"I talk to my sister on a daily basis and to go this long… it’s just
very worrisome," said Alexandria Buchalski, Ndibe’s sister. "My sister
never shuts her phone off and with her phone going right to voicemail.
It’s very fishy."

The family also hasn’t been able to reach Ndibe’s husband, Jideofor,
who is from Nigeria. He told them earlier this month that he was taking
his family on a cruise, but they didn’t believe him. They say the couple
had been fighting and having problems.

One of Ndibe’s friends is also worried.

"I knew something was out of the ordinary because I’d been trying to
contact her for the past two weeks," said Michelle Riser. "She was
supposed to visit me Sunday."

A neighbor said she saw Ndibe moving items out of her apartment about a week ago. But she didn’t know she was missing.

"That’s creepy. That’s really scary," said the woman, who didn’t want to be identified.

Ndibe’s car is also missing. It’s a brown, four-door 1999 Chevy Malibu. The Texas license plate number is PKH779.

Ndibe has a flower tattoo on her lower back. No one knows what she and her son were wearing.

HOUSTON – A Jersey Village mother and her 2-year-old son have been found safe after a frantic search by her relatives.

Angela Ndibe, 26, was reported missing last week after family members said they couldn’t reach her.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office now says Ndibe called her family
Sunday to let them know she’d been on a cruise with her son and husband.

Ndibe hadn’t called relatives in Michigan in over a week and they said she normally keeps in constant touch.

The family also hadn’t been able to reach Ndibe’s husband, Jideofor.
He told them earlier this month that he was taking his family on a
cruise, but they didn’t believe him. They saythe couple had been
fighting and having problems.
