Sentinel seeks Casey Anthony doctor depositions

By Anthony Colarossi, Orlando Sentinel

3:13 p.m. EST, December 20, 2011

Excerpt:

The Orlando Sentinel has filed a motion to unseal two key depositions from the Casey Anthony criminal case that have never surfaced publicly.

The motion to intervene filed in Orange Circuit Court seeks to unseal the depositions of two mental health experts — Dr. Jeffrey Danziger and Dr. William Weitz. Casey Anthony's defense team in March wanted to use both as witnesses at Anthony's murder trial to rebut "rulings related to the defendant's state of mind and consciousness of guilt."

I seriously doubt that these will be released. With the HIPAA laws in FL, I don't think they will release KC's medical records. I have had trouble repeatedly trying to get information about my parents' health issues when I was an adult only child and was the only one capable legally of making medical decisions for them (even as they were unable to make sound decisions for themselves). Nowadays, you have to present yourself in person (no matter how far away you may be), be cleared in person by your parent that you are OK to give info to (no one seems to care if they have dementia and God help you if they are ever comatose), have a Durable Power of Attorney (which I have, by the way), give them your 1st and 2nd born, prove you have no 3rd born and take a pregnancy test just in case, give them a fresh lobe of your lung, hand over your left kidney, provide current photos of your cat, and have your dog's paw prints taken.
