The Broward Sheriff’s Office says it is searching for an 11-year-old Dania Beach
girl who went to check the mail Monday and did not return home.

Ashley Verney was reported missing at about 2:20 p.m. from the mobile home park where she lives on
the 5100 block of SW 30th Avenue in Dania Beach, the BSO said.
Deputies have been searching by ground and air, and a be-on-the-lookout message has been issued in three counties.

Foul play is not suspected, the Sheriff’s Office said.

An 11-year-old Dania Beach girl who was reported missing has been found, authorities said.

Ashley Verney was reported missing at about 2:20 p.m. Monday when she did not return from checking the mail at the mobile home park where she lives in the 5100 block of Southwest 30^th Avenue.

Shortly before midnight, the Broward Sheriff's Office said Ashley was safe and had been spotted walking along the 3100 block of Stirling Road.

No information was released about the child's whereabouts while she was gone.
