Batavia Police Search For Missing Teen

Michael S. Smith and Anna M. Spencer (aka Anna M. Smith)

BATAVIA, NY-- Police in the City of Batavia are searching
for a missing 13-year-old boy who may be with his non-custodial mother.

Officials says Michael S. Smith, 13, was last seen on Oak Street in
Batavia where he was visiting his non-custodial mother, Anna M. Spencer
(aka Anna M. Smith), 49 at a local motel.

Investigators say Spencer is known to travel from place to place with no permanent address.

Anyone who has information or has seen either of these two
individuals is asked to call Genesee County Dispatch at 585-345-6350.

Batavia
Police report Wednesday afternoon that 13-year-old Michael Smith, who
had been missing since Monday, has been found safe in Cleveland, Ohio.

Smith has been detained, along with his mother who does not have legal
custody of the boy. Smith's father, also from Batavia, is currently on
his way to Ohio to pick up Michael.
