ORLANDO, Fla. - A hearing for Texas EquuSearch, the organization that helped search for Casey Anthony’s daughter, Caylee, proceeded Tuesday morning.
Texas EquuSearch is suing Anthony for money spent to search for Caylee in 2008.
Anthony’s civil attorney Charles Greene requested the hearing to explain to the judge why her Fifth Amendment privilege should apply to Texas EquuSearch’s deposition questions.
The hearing, which was closed-door proceeding, involved only the Texas EquuSearch case and not Zenaida Gonzalez’s defamation lawsuit.
There were no attorneys for EquuSearch present. In addition to Greene, Anthony's criminal attorneys Cheney Mason and Lisabeth Fryer were present at the hearing. Mason and Fryer are working on Anthony's appeal for lying to police.
