SARAHI GARCIA - 2 yo - San Marco TX/ MX alerted
San Marcos Police are investigating the disappearance of a two-year-old girl who is believed to be with her father in Mexico.

Armando Munoz Garcia (DOB: 11/01/1966) picked up his daughter, Sarahi
Garcia (DOB: 03/12/2009) for visitation on Jan. 15 from his ex-wife,
Monica Sanchez, in the parking lot of the Eternal Rock Church on SH 123 in San Marcos.
Sanchez is a resident of San Marcos, and Armando Garcia resides on Columbia Circle in San Marcos, Guadalupe County.
Sanchez received a phone call from Armando Garcia on Jan. 18 stating
he was in Mexico and did not plan to return Sarahi to her mother,
according to Commander Penny Dunn.

This is in violation of a child custody order from Caldwell County
prohibiting the removal of Sarahi from Texas and hiding the child from
her mother, she said.
San Marcos Police investigators have been interviewing family
members, friends, and co-workers in the search for Garcia and have been
in contact with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
(NCMEC). Federal law enforcement agencies at the U.S./Mexico border have
been on alert, but it is believed that Garcia may have crossed the
border prior to January 18.
Investigators obtained a warrant for Armando Garcia’s arrest on
charges of interference with child custody, a state jail felony, and
have entered him in the national Law enforcement database of the
National Crime Information Center (NCIC). Sarahi Garcia has been entered
into the NCMEC database as a missing child.
Federal law enforcement agencies are joining the investigation to
provide assistance in locating the child, apprehending the suspect, and
coordinating with the Mexican government, Dunn said.
Anyone with information on the child’s location is asked to contact
Commander Penny L. Dunn, San Marcos Police Department, at 512.753.2103
or pdunn@sanmarcostx.gov.
