Charges have been reduced against a Jewell woman whose infant son died of head injuries nearly a year ago.

Angela Meeker’s 15-month-old son, Tanner Doran, was found dead on Dec. 1,
2008. The original charge, child endangerment resulting in death, was
dismissed because a conviction was unlikely, prosecutors said. She now
faces charges of accessory after the fact and obstructing prosecution.

Meeker’s husband, Michael Meeker Jr., is charged with first-degree
murder in the boy’s death. He is in the Hamilton County Jail on $1
million bond.
