Re: NATALEE HOLLOWAY - 19 yo (2005) - Mountain Brook AL/Aruba
Article from person who claims to have map of where Natalee is, as mentioned on the blog radio show: (*Credit WS) Just bizarre, IMO (Sorry so long, but this kind of statement tends to "disappear" on us sometimes...):

The Aruban Authorities
The way communications went with the authorities is at least 'peculiar'. My personal opinion is that they cover the truth. If the balcony confession would ultimately be very close to the truth, then heads are going to roll. As Gerald Dompig tells the research team; in june 2005 a tip that the police should search the house of the X family was ignored because the witness was not found credible. The witness was a homeless person. Furthermore according to Gerald Dompig; the only area witch was never searched was Bubali plas/lake, a bird sanctuary and protected nature. The X residence and Bubali lake are geographically close and fit perfectly in the time line. Travelling and disposing of a body from those locations fits in the missing 45 minutes when Joran's cell phone mysteriously lost signal. The combination of mistakes in 2005 will massively damage the reputation of the authorities and high ranking individuals.
The letter from Pietersz
Off course my opinion is mine alone and might be subjective. However in my possession is the official response of the procurer general Pietersz after receiving the video with the Dusseldorf confession. Pietersz claims that the confession is untrustworthy:
-X denies everything
-The mother of X is a witness that X was home with her that night.
-The family had a different car at the time.
-The house does not match the description of Joran.
-The balcony and balustrade are constructed in such a way that the fall of Natalee which Joran describes is hardly possible.
-The description of Bubali lake does not match Joran's statement.
-A behavioral expert concludes the story is not true.
The letter from RTL
Y (head of the investigation, a renowned former police detective) and his colleague went to Aruba to check the work of the Aruban authorities. The team was very puzzled to find completely different results!
-The prime witness is the mother of the subject, this hinders reliability
-The family did have the green pick-up truck which is explicitly mentioned by Joran (also! Dompig says at the time there was a tip so search for a green pick-up truck!)
-At the end of 2005 the house was sold and the new owners significantly rebuilded the house.
-The new owners testify that the house was the way Joran describes in the Dusseldorf confession before the rebuilding! Unfortunately the new owners completely ripped out the old garden stone plateaus below the balcony and replaced it with solid concrete, so all DNA traces even imbedded deeply in those stones which could have been found years later are destroyed.
-The same goes for the balcony. The new owners testify that the current balcony construction is different then in 2005! In 2005 at the side where Joran claims Natalee fell, there was a small ledge on which she could have danced, of which she could have fallen induced by alcohol and cocaine! The new owners replaced the balustrade to the end so their new sunscreen would not touch the balustrade when using it blocking out the sun!
-The way Joran describes Bubali lake is indeed not the way it is in 2009! However in 2005 the water level was high enough and the vegetation was the way Joran tells it is!
-Our own renowned experts have viewed the video material of the confession and they think it is trustworthy
The meeting between Y, RTL officials and Aruban officials.
After the RTL letter their was a meeting. According to Y the officials were mostly interested in falsifying the confession then to hear counterarguments. Y tells me that a lot of strange things happened in the conversation. For example they claimed that X has never dealt drugs. However Y tricked X to sell him drugs when Y was at Aruba to investigate! According to the RTL representative the officials were on a mission to stop the broadcast.
Facts are facts. The letters are solid evidence that the Aruban authorities have not conducted a sound, professional investigation. The letters are in my possession.
Why would Joran tell the truth in the Dusseldorf interview?
For over a year, I played a game against Joran. I won a million euro in a reality show and Joran was fan of my (acted) personality "Terror Jaap". He often got in to trouble. I got closer and closer to him by pretending to be his friend. I paid his rent when he got kicked out, I paid his gambling debt etc. He truly saw me as the guy who wanted to help him. When he cheated the lie detector test, my help, advice and money ended for a while. Time went by and Joran told me he had nothing left. His creditors from the coffee shop business threatened him. His parents wouldn't speak to him anymore. His girlfriend had left him etc. I offered him a way out. A contract which would make him a millionaire (so he thought) and the price would be to tell the truth. I told him he'd be out of jail in 2 years, then he would be 23 years old with a million on his bank account. He took the bate!
The contract was formulated very carefully, 13 pages long. Most important Joran would receive nothing if could be proven that he lied! The only way Joran could change his life and get the money was to tell the truth!
Dave, I am terribly sorry that Joran wanted to make money over your daughter. Off course that is morally horrible. However the only way to lure Joran in a trap is with money.
Before the interview Joran talked extensively about civil right. I should hold on to the money RTL and American broadcasters would pay us so civil claims from the Holloway family would lead to nothing. After his jail time he would relocate and to prevent any paper trails he wanted the money in cash. For 15 months in a reality house I pretended to be a dark figure, Terror Jaap, I'm not a paid actor but my character was an act. I won the game with a specific strategy. This time my act, my strategy to lure Joran with the prospect of becoming a millionaire at age 23 worked again.
The Dusseldorf interview
Joran totally broke down. He was so nervous, he puked his guts out in the toilet. As is very common in these kind of circumstances according to Y. We have 2,5 hours of rough uncut interview in which we talk about every small detail, including his father, the Kalpoe brothers etc etc. Joran even puts down a mark where he and X dropped the body. My trustworthy acquaintances left with the tapes. Joran and I remained alone in the room. Joran was emotional, smoking cigarette after cigarette, shaking. He told me he was going to wrap up all his affairs in Bangkok, Aruba and Holland and tell his parents the truth. In the meantime the Aruban authorities could solve the case and I could have the show edited and ready to sell all over the world. Then he would be ready for jail. He even wanted to sell the images when he would walk into the police office to turn himself in, it's sick, it's ethically very wrong, but it worked! We tricked him in telling the truth.
Trips to Bangkok
I asked Joran to put a more precise mark on a detailed satellite map so the search in Bubali lake would be much easier. I emailed Joran the map and asked for a spot. He emailed me back that the story was not true. Why did Joran change his mind? We could not believe it! Joran was going to jail anyway we were convinced at the time, so why would he break the contract and give up a huge sum of money?
We had 2 separate expeditions to Bangkok. We have strong information that Joran was/is heavily threatened. The only thing more valuable to Joran then money is his own live and that of his family. It was so serious that he refused to accept money for nothing more then a mark, he could even take the money and put a phony mark on the map. Something was wrong bigtime, Joran not taking money? Why? Joran fled. He mailed me that he didn't trust the situation. Why? Was Joran afraid 4 hidden police officers were waiting at the corner to arrest him? If the story is no true, why flee? The situation got worse. The crew and I were threatened to get shot by a crime syndicate who were protecting Joran. When a gun was pulled the crew left.
Science
Despite theories, science is objective. From the lie detector test we know: (95% reliable)
-Joran is involved in the death of Natalee
-Joran is involved in the disappearance of Natalee
The test has followed the official guidelines from the APA (American Polygraph Association) from a certified examiner (Z) and every minute was taped, so a checkup by an independent party is possible.
From the voice analysis we know: (80% reliable)
-the fall from the balcony is true
-X is involved
80% and 95% from machines are very reliable compared to the lies of Joran. Together with the total story how I got him to do the confession, there is no doubt in my mind that he spoke the truth.
Lies, reputations, and the media game
After months of investigations/stalling by the Aruban authorities, after months of trying to get Joran to do the right thing, RTL aired the show sunday 28-2-2010. At the moment Gerald Dompig left from Aruba to Holland to do his interview, the Dutch leading newspaper "De Telegraaf" secretly received information about the show on monday. We suspect the Aruban authorities tipped the paper and with great success. Their first strike strategy worked. Chief prosecutor Peter Blanken tells in the paper that the show which is coming is totally untrue. Leading figures as Peter R de Vries use the quotes of Blanken to make the upcoming show ridiculous. Unfortunately my reputation as "Terror Jaap" is dubious, and a crime reporter like De Vries has much more credibility. De Vries makes fun of me. Note that De Vries never asked me even 1 question about the results. Which I can understand, he has an Emmy and his reputation to protect with his investigation on Natalee. What would happen to that if it turns out that not Peter R de Vries but some fat guy from a reality program reveals the entire truth on what happened that night. The media machine is repeating Blanken and De Vries and Joran's confession is labelled as fake. American media repeats Dutch media, and so a carefully setup project to get Joran to tell the truth was carefully made redundant by tactics of parties who don't want to hear the truth because it conflicts with their interests.
X
How strange X never tried to clear his name? Also his father is a high ranking Brazilian government official with lots of influence. In 2005 the family X lived in the house. At the end of 2005 they left.
Follow up
The team is very frustrated. We all know we are very close to the truth, but we see no options. The Aruban authorities do nothing. Putting pressure on the authorities by using Dutch press is slammed down. What can we do? The only thing I can do is to tell my story and prove it with my massive database and video material to American media who takes it serious. A positive media flow could pressure Aruba to search in the Bubali lake.

Was Natalee Holloway the Victim of a Serial Killer?

Twenty-three-year-old Joran van der Sloot is once
again under arrest, incarcerated, and has reportedly confessed to
murder. Not Natalee Holloway's murder. This time, a young Peruvian
woman, Stephany Flores, was found badly beaten with either a baseball
bat or tennis racket, her neck broken, covered in blood and a blanket,
dead in a Lima hotel room. The similarities in the circumstances to that
fatal night in Aruba are strikingly eerie and uncanny: The murder is
believed to have taken place exactly five years to the day that Natalee
Holloway disappeared in the wee hours of the morning after leaving a
nightclub with van der Sloot. The synchronistic fact that this
atrocious killing occurred on precisely the same date, May 30th, as the
Holloway incident, seems more than mere meaningless coincidence. Like
the still missing and presumed dead eighteen-year-old Natalee, van der
Sloot reportedly met the twenty-one-year-old Stephany at a casino at
night and was seen returning to his hotel room with her around 5 AM
Sunday morning. He was witnessed leaving the hotel room alone several
hours later with his bags. Three days later, on Tuesday, the victim's
lifeless body, fully clothed, face down, was found by hotel staff in his
room. Could Joran van der Sloot be more than merely a selfish, spoiled
kid who callously covered up the accidental death of an intoxicated
sexual partner? Could he actually be a predatory serial killer of two
young women, including Natalee Holloway? And might he have murdered more
women along the way?I have commented on this case in a previous post. At that time, there was no known
prior history of violence attributed to van der Sloot. Holloway's body
has never been recovered. No forensic evidence of homicide had, at least
to my knowledge, been found. Since then, Joran confessed publicly and
privately to several accidental versions of involvement in Holloway's
death, but almost immediately denied the veracity of his own statements.
His father, a judge in the Aruban legal system who may well have helped
his son illegally cover up Natalee's death, suddenly collapsed and died
while playing tennis last February. He was relatively young. Had the
chronic stress
of the Holloway case and his own possible illegal involvement taken its
fatal toll?Joran, while briefly re-arrested since Holloway's
disappearance, has been free to travel around the globe, and was
secretly videotaped recruiting young women in Thailand to work in the
Netherlands as prostitutes. In addition, he is recently charged with
attempting to sleezily extort 250,000 dollars from Natalee Holloway's
mother in return for telling her the location of her daughter's remains
and details of her death. Van der Sloot was in Lima participating in a
poker tournament. He apparently fancies himself a player. There are
recent reports that his alleged victim, Ms. Flores, won $5,000.00 that
evening at the casino, all of which was missing from the horrific crime
scene. Some sources suggest that the victim may have been slipped GHB or
Rohypnol, so-called "date rape" drugs--something the Holloway family
has long suspected happened to Natalee that night.Gradually, an
unmistakable, chilling and telling pattern appears to be emerging:
Prostitution. Gambling. Extortion. Willfully concealing a young American
woman's death. And quite conceivably, rape, robbery and multiple
murder. A pervasive disregard for and violation of the rights of others.
Repeated illegal activities. Deceitfulness. Skillful lying. Conning.
Physical aggressiveness. Sadistic cruelty. Irresponsibility.
Impulsivity. Grandiosity. Absence of empathy. Exploitation of others.
Apparent total lack of remorse for having hurt, mistreated or stolen
from someone. These possible symptoms and suspected evil deeds are all
classic indications of sociopathy, psychopathy,
dyssocial or antisocial personality disorder. Or what
might be more descriptively termed "psychopathic narcissism."Little
is known publicly about Joran's childhood and family history. He appears to
have grown up in a middle to upper middle class, well-to-do family, the
eldest of three sons. His father, Paulus, was a prominent lawyer. His
mother, Anita, a school teacher. However, there have been
unsubstantiated stories that in the year before meeting Natalee
Holloway, Joran, then perhaps sixteen, pushed a classmate through a
plate glass window, and was supposedly described by some who knew him as
having "anger
management"
problems. From a forensic perspective, it would be important to learn
whether the defendant did indeed have a history of physical aggression,
fighting or assaults prior to the alleged crime or crimes. If Joran van
der Sloot is the spoiled brat, the arrogant bully, the
self-centered, manipulative, narcissistic, misogynistic murderer many
make him out to be, and the killer he now admits to being, what might
have made him so? Is he an example of the proverbial "bad seed"? Evil
incarnate? Demonic possession? Or was his presumably privileged,
protected and permissive upbringing the primary root of his possible
psychopathic narcissism?Extremely negative, traumatic childhood
experiences are typically part of the classic psychopath's family
history. The severe childhood neglect, abandonment and abuse of Charles
Manson is one clear example. At this point, we have no way of knowing
what type of psychological environment young Joran was exposed to early
on, and have very limited information on the personalities and problems
of his parents
during that time. But we must remember, as Sigmund Freud
made clear, that during the most crucial phases of personality
development in childhood, profound damage or "fixation" can be done not
only by getting too little love, attention, gratification of needs, but
equally by receiving too much of these necessary positive influences.
Children naturally need love, affection, support, attention and
recognition. But they also need firm limit-setting, boundaries,
appropriate and consistent consequences for bad behavior, discipline,
and what developmental psychologists call "optimal frustration."
Optimal frustration is how children learn to delay gratification,
persevere at tasks, develop inner strength and independence, and adapt
to what Freud referred to as the "reality principle."Children
must be taught by and learn from their parents or caretakers that the
world does not revolve around them, and that there are some behaviors
that are wrong and won't be tolerated. When a child does not receive
such an education
at home, he or she is ill-prepared to deal with the world at large. In
such cases, we see an unchecked infantile egoism or narcissism never
sufficiently socialized, and therefore, never moderated. Eventually,
their bad behavior accepted at home intensifies into evil deeds, landing
them in big trouble in the big world. It is quite possible that this
was the situation for Joran van der Sloot. He may have come from a home
where his healthy narcissistic needs were overindulged by his parents,
and hence, became unmitigated and pathological. Strange as it may seem,
such overindulgence, lack of discipline, and overprotectiveness on the
part of sometimes sincerely well-meaning parents can be as deeply
wounding and destructive as its polar opposite: neglect, abandonment,
abuse, deprivation. It is in itself a traumatizing type of deprivation
and abandonment in which the child's basic needs for structure,
guidance, limit-setting, consequences, reality testing, supervision and
parental authority are ignored, neglected and frustrated. In a sense,
the child feels that the overindulgent, overpermissive parent doesn't
care enough to provide the limit-setting and structure he or she needs.
And the child is at first hurt by, and then angered at this parental
failure and lack of responsibility. This anger, having no real outlet
(how can a child be angry with such ostensibly loving, nurturing and
indulgent parents?), tends to be repressed and fester, turning over time
into toxic resentment, embitterment and narcissistic rage. But the
psychopathic narcissist masks this rage masterfully in most situations. (
See my prior posts on "Masks of Sanity.")A sense of "narcissistic entitlement" is characteristic of both
narcissistic and antisocial personality disorder. And both
share in common a distinct lack of empathy with their fellow man, being
unwilling or unable to feel compassion toward, nor identify with, the
emotions and needs of others. Such grossly inhumane attitudes and
behaviors stem mainly from a combination of compensatory grandiosity and
a schizoid-like detachment from their own feelings. The primary
difference between narcissistic and antisocial personality disorder is
one of degree, differentiated largely by the relative strength or
weakness of what Freud
called superego, as well as by the severity, type or intensity of past
narcissistic wounding. The border between these two personality
disorders is blurry, and sometimes indistinguishable. Psychoanalyst Otto
Kernberg (1992) describes certain destructively aggressive, antisocial
patients as suffering from "malignant narcissism,"
which is akin to what I am here calling "psychopathic narcissism."
Traditionally, classic psychopaths are described as being
"cold-blooded." But how can the vicious brutality of beating a young
woman to death be construed as anything but an impassioned rage killing? Why the
totally excessive overkill? Joran told police that he killled Stephany
in anger when she snooped into his "private life" on his laptop. Had she
found incriminating evidence regarding the Holloway case? Did van der
Sloot kill Stephany to silence her? Another possible explanation for
such cases would be that the killer was trying to mutilate the body so
as to make post mortem identification difficult or impossible, clearly a
cold, deliberate calculation. "Jack the Ripper," who terrorized
nineteenth century London, mutilated his victims, female prostitutes not
to conceal their identity, but in
part as an expression of a suspected rabid hatred of women. His (or her)
identity was never finally determined, but one of the most likely
suspects was reportedly an American with a well-known animus toward the
feminine gender.
In a fairly recent sensational New Zealand murder case (see my prior post), a university tutor allegedly stabbed
his twenty-two-year-old ex-girlfriend more than two-hundred times,
severely mutilating her lips, breasts and genitals. Not to deliberately
disfigure the victim to allude prosecution. It was evidently all about
narcissistic rage. Was van der Sloot sexually rejected by Ms. Flores?
Did he fly into a violently narcissistic rage? A murderous adult temper
tantrum? Or was this possbily a robbery gone horribly wrong? As I
have suggested elsewhere (see my article "Violence as Secular Evil"), repressed
anger, rage, resentment and hatred are at the heart of psychopathic
narcissism as well as so many other serious and dangerous mental
disorders. So what might the confessed murderer Joran van der Sloot be
so enraged or embittered about? What do van der Sloot's reported
behaviors say about his feelings toward women? The extremely violent
nature of the alleged killing of Stephany Flores suggests that this was,
to some extent, a rage killing. Such vicious anger, rage and hatred
toward women is typically rooted in tremendous unconscious
hostility toward the mother, and a devaluation of the feminine in
general. For psychopathic narcissists, it may also have to do with women
being more vulnerable to victimizing with their sadistic, cruel,
hostile impulses, much as animals, insects or younger children tend to
play this victim role for severely troubled adolescents diagnosed with
Conduct Disorder-- often a prelude to adult psychopathy.
Indeed, in the case of a defendant like Joran van der Sloot, it would
not be surprising to find during forensic evaluation that, as a boy or
teenager, he at some point manifested many if not all of the symptoms of
Conduct Disorder.Ultimately, I believe that van der Sloot's
prosecution and incarceration in Peru will lead to a resolution of the
Natalee Holloway case. Given his past proclivity to make various
confessions regarding that case and then recant them, his confession to
Peruvian police remains suspect. While, as a forensic psychologist, I cannot diagnose this (or
any) defendant without first evaluating him, nor presume guilt, the
question comes down to this: Is Joran van der Sloot, as his defense
attorneys will likely argue, simply the unluckiest young man in the
world, finding himself once again innocently in the wrong place at the
wrong time? With a dead girl's body in his hotel room? On the fifth
anniversary of Natalee Holloway's probable death in his presence? And
then bullied by police into falsely confessing to this despicable evil
deed? If so, perhaps poker isn't really his game.

Re: NATALEE HOLLOWAY - 19 yo (2005) - Mountain Brook AL/Aruba
In the five years since Alabama teen Natalee Holloway disappeared,
Tim Miller with Texas Equusearch has been on a mission. He has
been the face of just about every missing persons search in Houston.
Natalee's uncle lives in Houston and asked Miller for help.
Miller is in Aruba right now and tells us, "We've worked this case for 5 years
very, very hard... made a promise to Dave that we would never quit
looking for Natalee. My prediction is the day is going to come and it's
going to come soon when Natalee is going to be recovered."
Joran Van der Sloot has confessed to killing a woman in Peru. The 22-year-old
is also the main suspect in the disappearance of Holloway.
What upsets Tim is his belief that corrupt officials in Aruba helped cover
up what happened to the 18-year-old "They had Joran Van der Sloot
here less than a month ago on a sting operation and could have detained
him at that time, extradited him to America to serve 20 years on
extortion and again he slipped through their fingers."
The day the Dutchman was arrested for the murder of 21-year-old Stephany Flores,
he was charged here in the US with trying to extort a quarter of a
million dollars from Holloway's family. In exchange, he would
tell them where Natalee's body could be found and how she died.
Miller has a handwritten map. It is supposedly from Van der Sloot and shows
the location of Natalee's body. But, the founder of Texas
Equusearch does not believe the map is authentic. He thinks it's one of
many tools Van der Sloot used to extort money.
Miller says it's time for Van der Sloot to answer for his crime. "It's
unfortunate that Stephanie had to sacrifice her life to finally bring
Joran Van der Sloot to justice. It should have happened five years ago."
Dave Holloway, Natalee's father, is due in Aruba Wednesday. He
plans to meet with prosecutors and investigators. Miller tells us they
will then decide to proceed from there.

Re: NATALEE HOLLOWAY - 19 yo (2005) - Mountain Brook AL/Aruba
Joran van der Sloot told investigators during an interrogation that
he knows the location of Natalee Holloway's body, but he would neither
identify the location nor say what happened to her the night of her
disappearance, a Peruvian police official reported. "In the
interrogation done to the Dutch citizen, he says he knew the location of
the corpse of the American citizen, but that he was going to explain
everything to Aruban police," said Miguel Canlla, head of the homicide
division of the Peruvian national police investigative unit, on
Thursday. Van der Sloot, a 22-year-old Dutch citizen, is
suspected of killing a 21-year-old woman in Lima last month. Stephany
Flores Ramirez was found beaten to death in a hotel room registered in
van der Sloot's name. Van der Sloot was captured in Chile and returned
last week to Peru, where authorities say he confessed to killing Flores.
He was twice arrested in connection with the 2005 disappearance of
Holloway, but was released for lack of evidence. Holloway was on a class
trip to Aruba when she went missing. Canlla said Thursday that
Aruban police were not currently in Peru, and said he did not know
whether Aruban and Peruvian investigators had been in contact.Van der Sloot told authorities that he
attacked Flores on May 30 after she read an e-mail on his computer
connected with the Holloway case, Peruvian national police said in a
statement released Thursday. Canlla
defended his department's interrogation and said van der Sloot's
confession that he killed Flores was acquired legally. "The
statement was done within all the requirements stipulated by Peruvian
law," he said. But van der Sloot's lawyer, Maximo Alonso Altez
Navarro, said that he plans to ask the judge in the case to
strike down van der Sloot's confession, because he was not properly
represented when he was interrogated. Canlla said Peruvian
investigators were still waiting for judicial permission in order to
investigate the contents of van der Sloot's computer. "There has
to be authorization from the judge to open the laptop," he said. But
already authorities have gathered significant evidence, Canlla said.
Blood stains found on van der Sloot's clothes match Flores' blood
type, he said. "We found blood stains on the victim's clothes,
and we found blood stains on his clothes, which, according to biological
testing, they correspond to the victim," he said. Police said in
a statement Thursday that van der Sloot presumably attacked Flores to
rob her of the money she had won gambling at a casino. The two met
playing poker on May 27 and had several encounters before driving
together to the hotel where van der Sloot was staying on May 30. After
killing her, the police statement said, van der Sloot cleaned the room
in an attempt to hide evidence of the crime, changed clothes and fled
with Flores' money, bank cards and black Jeep. Police said
evidence against van der Sloot includes his confession, forensic data,
surveillance videos and fingerprints lifted from the crime scene and
Flores' Jeep. Altez, van der Sloot's lawyer, claims he has found
indications that the handling of the evidence was tainted, especially
the way the body was handled during the crime scene investigation. But
Canlla said there were no irregularities in the investigation. Van
der Sloot, 22, was arrested in Chile on June 4 and returned to Peru the
next day. Canlla said police will likely accuse van der Sloot of
committing homicide, robbery and obstructing justice. The two drivers
who took him across the border to Chile will also be accused of
obstructing justice, he said. While van der Sloot was never
charged in connection with Holloway's disappearance in 2005, U.S.
authorities filed extortion and wire fraud charges against the Dutch man
this week. An Interpol document says van der Sloot faces
criminal charges in Alabama because he allegedly tried to extort money
from Holloway's mother. A federal law enforcement agent claims
that a representative for Natalee Holloway's mother who paid $25,000
for information on the whereabouts of her daughter's remains last month
was an undercover FBI agent. Van der Sloot said he would reveal
the location of the body and the circumstances surrounding Holloway's
death for $25,000 in cash and asked for $250,000 in total, the document
states. The FBI and U.S. Attorney's office in Birmingham arranged
for a meeting where van der Sloot was paid $10,000 in cash and another
$15,000 in a wire transfer, a source familiar with the case said. The
meeting took place last month, according to the U.S. attorney's office
in Birmingham. Interpol documents show that the $15,000 was
transferred to a personal bank account in the Netherlands. It's
unclear whether that money paid for van der Sloot's trip to Colombia and
to Peru.
In exchange for the money, van der
Sloot showed the representative a house where supposedly Holloway's
remains were, according to the document. When records showed that the
house had not yet been built at the time of her disappearance, van der
Sloot admitted that he lied, Interpol said.

As we all await the confession from Joran Van Der Sloot as to what he did with Natalee’s body, the focus of the Natalee Holloway case has shifted the eyes of the world back onto the island of Aruba. Much to the dismay of the islanders, in particular Aruban authorities.
As I write this, Dave Holloway is meeting with officials, I can’t be specific as to who. But, before he left this morning, he asked me if we could go to the place on the map that Joran drew, indicating where he now claims he put Natalee’s body. This hand drawn map I received from Joran’s friend Jaap, right before his house was raided in the Netherlands, is the last and the latest tale from Joran Van Der Sloot as to where he put Natalee’s body. How serious are authorities taking this map??? Or do they believe this is just another one of Van Der Sloot’s lies. A wild goose chase??? Whatever the case, Dave Holloway feels it has to be looked at — and wanted to do it himself.
So off we went to the location early this a.m. Dave really just wanted to get a feel for the place, perhaps a sense of whether or not his daughter’s body was there, and to see if this location could fit into his timeline of events. He wasn’t expecting to find an answer today — and we weren’t expecting to be followed.
When we arrived, I watched as Dave just stared into the location for a few minutes, and in his deep voice he theorized what could have happened, based on the latest information from the map. Then a car pulled up, which was odd, an islander, in a silver jeep. Dave and I were getting ready to leave to grab some batteries and some breakfast. This man approached us but didn’t say a word. Without revealing too much about the location — it took him an effort to get to us — so it was no coincidence he was there. As we walked to the car, Dave said “he’s following us.” I thought at first Dave was being paranoid, a distraught father looking for his daughter’s remains, one could only imagine — it would make the strongest of us cross over the edge. As we got into the car, he starred long and hard at us. In retrospect, I should have asked him what he wanted, but I’ve learned to avoid confrontation, especially in a foreign country, and I sensed Dave’s urgency in wanting to get going. We got in our car and drove off, minutes later I saw his car in the rear view mirror. I turned right, he turned right, I stopped and spun around…he did the same. Now I realized Dave was telling the truth —we were being followed. After a few crafty moves under the stern guidance of Dave Holloway, we managed to elude our island friend. I’ll go on the record and say that if I hadn’t seen it myself I would never believed him.
I have no idea who he was/who he worked for or why he was following us or what he wanted. Dave says it to intimidate him, and it’s happened before. I don’t understand this. Why be mad at the father of the girl who was murdered on your island. Why not be mad at the guy who murdered his daugther instead?? Dave is not here to trash Aruba, or hold a press conference asking for a boycott. He doesn’t care. He wants one thing — his daughter’s body to take her home.

Just a short quick note to respond to all the emails I got about information put out on cable news tonight. Thank you for all your emails, but remember I am in Aruba — so stick with your source on the ground.
Dave left the island earlier today.
Authorities are not searching the island and have NO plans to search the island. Searchers are NOT mobilized.
There is no authorized searches to happen on the island.
There is NO scheduled searches happening on the island.
Authorities WILL NOT search until they receive information (a confession) from Joran Van Der Sloot that they deem credible — repeat — credible.
Just because Joran Van Der Sloot says he will only talk to Aruban authorities doesn’t mean that he will get the opportunity to talk to Aruban authorities. Joran Van Der Sloot is in a Peruvian jail and no longer calls the shots.
According to family members of Stephany Flores in Peru, it will only be a matter of time before authorities in Peru have the answers from Joran as to what happened to Natalee.

The poker-playing playboy long suspected of killing Natalee Holloway has reportedly admitted to extorting money from her family. The confession was allegedly made to a Dutch newspaper, in which Joran Van der Sloot is quoted stating he did it for revenge."I
wanted to get back at Natalee's family — her parents have been making
my life tough for five years," De Telegraaf quoted him as saying. "When
they offered to pay for the girl's location, I thought: 'Why not'?"Van der Sloot has been in jail in Peru since June for the murder of a young woman in a Lima hotel. which had hoped to collar Van der Sloot for Holloway's still-unsolved
disappearance. With her family, the young Dutchman was paid a total of
$25,000 for information on her location, but the details he shared
ultimately proved false. The FBI was criticized for letting Van

Re: NATALEE HOLLOWAY - 19 yo (2005) - Mountain Brook AL/Aruba
The mother of missing American teen Natalee Holloway sneaked into a Peruvian jail and confronted Joran van der Sloot about her daughter's fate.
Van der Sloot is being held in a maximum security prison in Peru on charges that he murdered another young woman, 21-year-old Stephany Flores, in his Lima hotel room in May. But the 22-year-old Dutchman is also the prime suspect in Holloway's disappearance. She vanished in 2005 during a high school graduation trip to the tropical island of Aruba, and her body has never been found.
Holloway's mother, Beth Twitty, is visiting Peru this week with a Dutch documentary filmmaker who's investigating Natalee's disappearance. On Wednesday, the two managed to sneak into Castro Castro Prison, where van der Sloot is being held, and even reached his cell. Twitty spoke with him for about five minutes before authorities removed her.
Their meeting was first reported by Peruvian TV and then picked up by many foreign media. Some Dutch media are also reporting that Twitty was arrested for the security breach.
Her lawyer, John Kelly, confirmed that Twitty had met with van der Sloot, saying it was their first face-to-face meeting since the night after her 18-year-old daughter disappeared.
He said it was done without violating any laws or breaking any regulations.
"This was just a mother acting on her instincts," Kelly told NBC's "Today" show this morning. "I don't think that was her purpose -- of thinking she was going to get answers out of him. I think it was more to deliver the message that he might be in Peru, but she hasn't gone away. She's determined to get answers and, you know, she wants to bring Natalee home."
Kelly said Twitty didn't tell him ahead of time about her plans. He said he would have "asked her to exercise a little more caution."
Van der Sloot's lawyer, Maximo Altez, also confirmed the meeting to NBC but said it lasted "less than one minute." He said Twitty disguised her identity to sneak into the jail, where she told van der Sloot that she has "no hate in her soul" for him, Altez was quoted as saying. At that point, van der Sloot handed her Altez's business card and told her he couldn't talk to her without his lawyer present.

“As a matter of fact, psychics are one of the biggest detriments I’ve ever encountered on a homicide case. They disturb the family tremendously.”

Two Dutch crime reporters have promised to reveal the inner workings of the mind of suspected killer Joran van der Sloot, the man accused of murdering Peruvian student Stephany Flores and who remains the lead suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, in their in-depth, investigative book "Joran's Murder Mysteries."
Co-written by Bert Huisjes and John van den Heuvel, the reporter who recently interviewed van der Sloot in his Castro Castro prison cell in Lima, Peru, the book guarantees to deliver "the complete story about the true role of Joran van der Sloot in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway and the killing of Stephany Flores.". The book boasts to uncover the "true story" of van der Sloot and is supposedly teeming with previously unpublished material from confidential police files, details behind Holloway's disappearance and one-of-a-kind images, among other things. Since van der Sloot's interview with van den Heuvel, the accused murderer was allegedly captured on prison surveillance video trying to purchase marijuana from a prison guard. Van der Sloot's attorney, Maximo Altez, is demanding that prison officials investigate the incident as a "set up.".
A month ago, Beth Holloway, Natalee's mother, reportedly paid a surprise visit to the man allegedly responsible for her daughter's disappearance five years ago. Natalee was in Aruba with her high school senior class when she was reported missing. she was reportedly last seen with van der Sloot.
Beth Holloway was reportedly accompanied by Dutch crime reporter Peter de Vries, who is well-known for capturing several hidden camera "confessions" in which van der Sloot told a variety of stores about Natalee's fate. The two made it to van der Sloot's cell, but were later thrown out once authorities discovered they had a hidden camera. The visit was intended "to create a TV special which would include her, the Flores family, and an interview with Joran van der Sloot.". Altez said Dutch media "snuck Beth Holloway-Twitty into Castro Castro without identifying who she was and put her face-to-face with Van der Sloot." Holloway told Van der Sloot that she had "no hate in her soul" for him, at which point the Dutchman handed her Altez's business card, claiming that he could not speak to her without his lawyer present. Van der Sloot is being held for the death of the 21-year-old Flores, who he allegedly confessed to fatally beating, strangling and suffocating in his Lima hotel room after she reportedly found information associated with Natalee Holloway on his laptop, according to transcripts of his signed confession. He has since recanted in an interview with a Dutch newspaper, and has attempted - thus far unsuccessfully - to have the confession suppressed for a variety of reasons. The book is set to be released Oct. 19.
