BRENDA ANN DAY - 16 yo - Chicago/Southside IL

Authorities today continued to search for a 16-year-old girl who went missing Wednesday from the grounds of her Far Southeast Side high school.
Brenda Ann Day, of the 13300 block of South Burley Avenue, was last
seen on the grounds of George Washington High School, 3535 E. 114th
St., Wednesday morning, according to her grandmother, Brenda
Szpejnowski.
Day, who her grandmother said has never run away from home before,
was reported missing later that day when she didn't return home from
school. Her grandmother reported to police that Day was last seen about
7:30 a.m. Wednesday at the school, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.
Day is described as white, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8, 100-120 pounds,
medium-length dyed black hair, blue eyes, and may have been wearing tan
corduroy pants, a double-layered blue and pink T-shirt, white tennis
shoes and a short brown hooded jacket.
"She's very close to me," Szpejnowski said. "I would've known if something was going on."
Police said there were no unusual circumstances surrounding Day's
disappearance. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts should
call the Chicago Police South Chicago (4th) District station at 312-747-8205.
