JACORI DANIEL-GAINES - 4 months - (2010) Chicago IL

The state Department of Children and Family Services is
investigating the weekend death of a 4-month-old North Side boy and
another child from the home has been moved to the care of relatives.
Jacori Daniel-Gaines, of the 700 block of W. Waveland Ave., was
taken from a home in the 1300 block of N. Hudson Ave. to Children's
Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:50 a.m. Sunday,
according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
An autopsy Monday came back inconclusive, with results pending further studies.

DCFS is investigating, and one other child from the home has
been placed in the care of relatives, according to DCFS spokesman
Jimmie Whitelow. The agency has had prior contact with the family, he
said.
Belmont Area detectives are conducting a death investigation, but police had no details as of Monday evening.
