VIVIAN TROUT - 2 yo ( 1997) - Miami FL

The National Center For Missing and Exploited Children has released an age-progressed photo of Vivian Trout , who was last seen April 6, 1997. Police and Vivian's father John hope the photo will generate new leads.

On April 6, 1997, Miami police were called to an apartment at 1045 Lenox Ave. concerning a kidnapping and parental abduction. When they arrived, they found court-appointed child custody supervisor Yolanda Campos locked in the apartment’s bathroom.

Authorities say then 2-year-old Vivian was taken by her non-custodial mother, Marina Trout. When police got Yolanda out of the bathroom, she told them she was at the apartment to supervise the
mother-daughter visit. She’d met John outside the apartment around noon and taken Vivian inside.

Yolanda told police she was in the apartment maybe five minutes when she went to use the bathroom. Yolanda said while she was in there, someone locked the door from the outside, making it impossible for her to get out. She then heard someone running out of the apartment.

Yolanda pried open the bathroom window and yelled for help until someone called police.

Yolanda says John was supposed to meet them outside the apartment at 5 p.m. to pick up Vivian, but cops say Marina had different plans.Police searched the apartment and questioned Maria Trout's mother, Bertila Vargas, who shared the apartment with her daughter. They found no signs of the toddler or her mom.

On April 15, 1997, police issued a warrant for Marina Trout for kidnapping and interference with custody. Police say Trout also goes by the names Marina Lopez, Juana Marina Lopez, Marina Vargas or Marina Savon.

Police say Trout has contacts in California, New Jersey, New York, Costa Rica, Spain and Mexico. She is blind in her right eye. Vivian has a noticeable birthmark on her left hip.

Today is the fifteenth anniversary of the disappearance of Vivian Aileen Trout. She was abducted by her non-custodial mother, Marina Trout, from Miami Beach, Florida. They may be in Spain.
