MARIA LOPEZ - 13 yo - Jasper AL/MX-TX-NC-MI Alerted

The Alabama Department of Public Safety has issued a missing child alert
for a Jasper teen.


Maria Lopez, 13, was last seen at her home
earlier today, according to the alert. She is with a man named Diego
Silvestre, who is wanted on unrelated warrants. They are traveling in a
black Mitsubishi Montero with license plate number 64A19N3.

Investigators
believe they may travel to Mexico, Texas, Florida, North Carolina or
Mississippi.

Alabama State Troopers have canceled a missing child alert for a
13-year-old Jasper girl.

The alert for Maria Lopez had been
issued Friday after she was reported missing from her home. According to
the alert she was with a man, Diego Silvestre, and they may have been
traveling to Mexico, Texas, Florida, North Carolina or Mississippi.
Warrants for Silvestre's arrest were pending in Jasper on other charges,
according to the alert.

The alert was canceled Saturday. The
troopers note on their Web site that the girl has been located, but did
not give any details on when or where she was found, or the status of
Silvestre.
