Circumstances
Brianna Maitland left her
job and was suppose to meet her friend back home, but she never made it.
She was not living at home and the friend thought that she had decided
to move back home so she did not get alarmed when Brianna did not show
up right away.
After a few days the friend called Brianna's family
who upon hearing that she was missing filed a missing persons report.
Her abandoned vehicle was found backed into a vacant building on Rte 118
outside Montgomery VT.

She gave no indication that she was
intending to leave and she did not have any of her personal belongings
with her, including her contact lenses or medication. Two of her
paychecks were found unopened on the front seat of her car.

Brianna's
nose is pierced and she has a scar on her forehead near her left
eyebrow.

The Vermont State Police are hoping the 7th anniversary of the
disappearance of a Sheldon teenager might help investigators solve the case.
Seventeen-year-old Brianna Maitland was last seen when she got
out of work at the Black Lantern Inn in Montgomery at 11:20 p.m. on
March 19, 2004.Her car was found the next day a short distance away.
Investigators say there is a strong indication that she was a victim of foul play.
Maitland's family is offering a $10,000 for anyone who can help investigators find
her and a separate $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest
of the person or people responsible for her disappearance.
State Police are offering a separate $5,000 reward.
