The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is
investigating the death of a 3-month-old girl from the South Side
Chicago neighborhood.Three-month-old Jakdla Sanders, of 1853 E.
81st St., was found unresponsive at 8218 S. Anthony Ave., according to
the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. She was taken to Jackson Park
Hospital and Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 7 a.m.DCFS
-- who identified her as Jakayla Sanders -- is investigating, although
they have had no prior contact with her family, spokesman Kendall
Marlowe said.A sibling in the family is currently in the care of a
relative, Marlowe said.
Police confirm they are conducting a
death investigation but the circumstances were unknown as of Sunday
night, Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

Side home Sunday was accidentally suffocated according to an
autopsy done this morning.
Jakala Sanders, of the 1800
block of East 81st Street, was found unresponsive at a residence in the
8200 block of South Anthony Avenue, according to a spokesman for the
Cook County medical examiner's office.
The infant's death is being investigated by police, said Police News
