Kyron Horman: Hope Continues for Missing Boy of 17 Months

Kyron Horman from Portland, Ore. has been missing for 17
months, but hope continues as massive search efforts have turned up
nothing over his disappearance. Portland's Heron Lakes Golf Club held a
"Run for Kyron" event Saturday to raise funds for the boy who
mysteriously disappeared June 4 during a science fair at Skyline
Elementary School. Kyron was 7-years-old at the time he went missing.
The little boy's father, Kaine Horman, was on hand for the event. He told reporters that he won't give up on his son.
"You don't give up hope," Kaine told KGW 8 News.
"You need to fight as hard as you can to find your son. Just like we're
doing for Kyron. As parents we owe it to our kids to do that. They're
out there somewhere."
Proceeds from the "Run for Kyron" event will fund additional search efforts to find the missing boy who is now 9-years-old.
No arrests have been made in the Kyron Horman missing case. Kaine and
Kyron's mother, Desiree Young, allege that the stepmother, Terri Horman,
is involved in the disturbing disappearance of Kyron and have urged the
public to question her every chance they can.

An interesting theory bj, and one that we have entertained before.
The other that you might consider, since nobody really remembers seeing him that morning is that they set the Tree Frog display up the previous afternoon. The picture may have been taken then as it would have been too difficult to get all those kids in, in the morning, set up their stuff, get to class and get ready for the townsfolk and parents to come through and view the exhibits.

Kaine Horman: Officers still 'hot on the case'

PORTLAND – The father of missing Portland boy Kyron Horman said the investigation continued in the case, and several events were planned for 2012 to help move the case forward.

"Law enforcement agencies are still hot on the case. Obviously because the investigation is still ongoing there are not a lot of specifics I will comment on other than they are still working hard, we are still in frequent communication," Kaine Horman wrote.

Kyron Horman was 7 years old when he disappeared from Skyline Elementary in June 2010. No suspects have ever been named but the investigation focused on Kyron's stepmom, Terri Moulton Horman.

Horman said he was involved in awareness projects, proposing legislation to awareness events in other states and co-sponsoring with other non-profit organizations.

Horman said next month, he would be at the Portland Roadster Show on March 16 to raise awareness about the case.

"According to Horman, she took the boy inside the school and took a photo of him standing next to his science project, which he had planned on showcasing later in the day. Horman says she left the child at the school and became alarmed when the child did not return home from schoolthat afternoon.
Since the boy's disappearance, Terry Horman has been under an
umbrella of suspicion in the case, refusing to cooperate with law
enforcement or answer any questions from the media. Speculation reached afever pitch in the case when it was discovered that Horman had attempted to hire the family's landscaper to murder her husband, the boy's father, Kaine Horman."

It sounds to me like Terry purposely took Kyron in the school that morning and took his picture to appear that he was at school for an alibi. Then I bet she told him they needed to get something out of the car for the project or school and instead she took off with him and killed him. Then it would appear that he was at school. Secondly, why in the h@ll isn't she in jail for solicitation of murder of Kaine? That woman is walking the streets? OMG, she will kill again for sure.

I can't believe that woman hasn't been arrested. Casey taught a lot of evil people to just dispose of the body and they can get by with murder.

Preview: Run For Kyron

By now, most people in the Portland area are aware of the tragic story of Kyron Horman, the boy who disappeared after being dropped off at school in June of 2010. In an effort to keep his name and face in the public eye, Uberthons is hosting the 2nd annual Run For Kyron on Saturday, June 2nd at Cook Park in Tigard.

The event features a 10k, 5k, 1k, and kids race, and all the usual amenities of an Uberthons event, including the instantaneous results available to finishers virtually as soon as they cross the line.

While inevitably a bittersweet event, the Run For Kyron will help keep his memory alive and hopefully increase awareness that he has still not been found. Maybe publicity from events like this will lead to a break in the case, and a happy resolution. (Wouldn't it be great if at some point in the future this race became "Run With Kyron"?) At the very least, participants will be able to show support for the missing boy's family and friends.
