"Baby Jane" CALLAHAN - 5 Months (2010) - Central City (NW of Bowling Green) KY

A man is in jail after authorities found his baby dead. Police responded
to a call at the Central City Motel where they found the girl
unresponsive in the father's room. 28-year-old Michael Callahan is being
held in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center on charges of murder and
domestic violence. The coroner says the cause of death is head trauma.
Callahan and his girlfriend lived in the motel with their two children.
It is not clear whether the baby's mother will face charges or who has
custody of the couple's other child.

Father Not Guilty in Infant's Death

A Central City man has been found not guilty of murder, in the death of his five month old daughter.
Michael Callahan, 27, was charged in the infant's death on August 13, 2010.
Central City Police say the baby was found dead at the Central Motel.
Callahan's trial began and ended Tuesday in Muhlenberg County.
The accused's mother, Debbie Callahan tells Fox 7 that the baby's mother and
family members changed their stories several times while on the stand.
Officials say the trial went on for around ten hours, before a judge told Callahan he was free to go.
Callahan's little girl would have turned one year old Wednesday, March 9.
