GREAT BEND - Alicia Danielle DeBolt, 14, died
Aug. 22, 2010. She was born May 1, 1996, to Richard and Tamara Hodges
DeBolt.
She is survived by her father, Richard; her
mother, Tammy Conrad; a sister, Dawn; a brother, Christopher; two step
sisters, Kearra and Rose LeDesma; maternal grandparents, David and
Kathern Hodges; step grandparents, Lawrence and Marjorie Conrad; and
many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Celebration of Life 10 a.m. Friday at First Assembly of God, Great Bend.
Memorials may be sent to Alicia DeBolt Expense Fund in care of Bryant
Funeral Home.

I cannot imagine writing an obit for my 14 year old - how horrible

Obviously someone has his password and thinks they are funny. Very creepy and weird.

or they just created a profile of him - it is sickening - and i don't understand why the admins aren't deleting and banning them - if you take the time to set up a memorial page - you need to keep up with it or delete it, IMO.

GREAT BEND, Kan. (CBS/KWCH) Kansas Attorney General Steve Six
told reporters outside a District Court Monday that he is "confident
murder charges will be filed," in the tragic death of Kansas teenager
Alicia DeBolt, according to The Wichita Eagle.

Six's comments came shortly after a hearing for 36-year-old Adam Longoria,
who is a "person of interest" in the murder of the14-year-old whose body
was found severely burned Aug. 24 in an asphalt plant in central
Kansas. The hearing was not directly related to the DeBolt
murder, but instead stemmed from Longoria's alleged theft of a vehicle
last Friday, the morning following a police search of Longoria's house.Longoria
was charged with one count of Vehicle Burglary and one count of Theft
of property worth at least $1,000 but less than $25,000 in connection
with a 2002 white Ford Explorer that was reported stolen from Venture
Corporation, the asphalt plant where DeBolt's body was found, according
to CBS affiliate KWCH. Longoria,
also known as "Rocco," was taken into custody Friday morning after
Kansas Highway Patrol issued a statewide alert for his arrest.
The judge set his bond at $150,000, reports KWCH.
Members of DeBolt's family were in the courtroom. Longoria
has not been charged or named a suspect in connection with DeBolt's
murder, but investigators continue "pursue all leads," according to Six,
who told reporters Monday that he believed murder charges would be
filed "in the not too distant future," reports The Wichita Eagle.
Another hearing is scheduled for Sept. 7.

GREAT BEND — Funeral services for 14-year-old Alicia DeBolt, whose body was found last week in Great Bend, will be held this morning.

A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. at the First Assembly of God in Great Bend. The Rev. Kyle Ermoian will officiate. A private family inurnment will take place after the service.

Memorials are requested to the Alicia DeBolt Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Road, Great Bend, KS 67530.

Alicia, who would have been a freshman at Great Bend High School, was last seen leaving her house Aug. 21. Her burned body was found three days later at an asphalt plant outside Great Bend.

Adam Longoria, 36, whom authorities are calling a "person of interest" in the case, was arrested last Friday. He is being held in the Barton County jail, although he has not been charged with any crimes related to Alicia's death.

Longoria is scheduled to be in court again Tuesday.

The following statement, written by Tammy Conrad and the immediate family of Alicia Danielle Debolt, was read during the Celebration of Life Service on Friday, September 3, 2010:

The family of Alicia Danielle Debolt would like to thank our community and beyond for their show of support and acts of kindness that have given us the strength to face the unimaginable. The kindness from those who knew Alicia and those who didn't has been incredible. Our family is getting through this with the grace of God and the love of close family and friends. Your memories of Alicia have been joined with ours and have given us all a portrait of Alicia; a vision of color and life.

Alicia was a kind, caring and loving person. She saw what was good in people and never knew a stranger. She was there to listen when someone was feeling down; giving comfort and hope and always a smile. She saw the beauty in everyone and everything. She had a vision of what things were supposed to be.

Alicia loved children and they adored her. She was their beacon of light and they were her future. She drew people together and tried to fix what was broken around her. Alicia spoke her mind. and it was an off the wall mind. She was generous with her time and her possessions, and she forgave when she was wronged.

Alicia had her own style. She cared about how she looked and what she was wearing. She put her own unique flair on everything she wore. She bedazzled, painted and sparkled till it was "Aliciafied." As an assignment, Alicia wrote about inventing a mirror that would show her what a piece of clothing would look like on her without actually trying it on. She wanted things to be easier and it certainly would have kept her room cleaner. She was a true beauty inside and out.

She did things in her own time, in her own way. She went to school on her time, she did chores on her time, she was even born 2 weeks after her due date and and everyone followed her time because Alicia was never late. Alicia expressed her love in many ways. She greeted you with a smile, a hug or a "Hey Sunshine!"

Alicia's body was taken from us, but her spirit remains in each of us. She continues to show us her heart in many ways. We see her in the clouds and hear her in the wind. She shows her style and her love in every rainbow. She wants us to smile and be kind to one another. But most importantly, she wants us to live like there's no tomorrow.
