City police continue to investigate the death of a 1-year-old girl who was found unconscious in a bathtub Tuesday afternoon.
Kyli Grace Haynes was found facedown in the tub at a home on Niceville Avenue about 2 p.m.
A Niceville police report states that when police arrived, two women —
identified as Tara Haynes, the child’s mother, and Jennifer Ogden —
were on the front porch administering CPR to “an unconscious female
infant.”

An officer took over the CPR for “approximately 60 seconds,” before Niceville firefighters arrived, the report said.
The child was taken to Twin Cities Hospital and then flown to Sacred
Heart Hospital in Pensacola, where she died early Wednesday.
Niceville police have released little information other than to say the death is under investigation.
Police spokesman Lt. Randy Sallee said he could not answer any questions about the child’s death.
The Police Department issued a news release saying that the child’s mother found Kyli in the tub.
Police were continuing to “investigate the totality of the tragic incident,” the news release said.
