"Infant John" COLLINS - 1 yo - Pike County (SE of Macomb) MS

A Pike County mother faced a charge of felony child abuse Tuesday. 26 year old Ernestine Lavonda Collins is accused of trying to circumcise her 1 year old son at home Friday.The child was treated at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center before being transferred to a Jackson hospital.Deputies were made aware of the child's injuries when they responded to a call for an ambulance.Collins was being held in the Pike County jail on a 75 thousand dollar bond.
