A missing 4-year-old girl has been found unharmed after the man she apparently was with took her to the Humble Police Department this morning following a Amber Alert for the child.
Jorge Arturo Rodriguez brought Robin Alissa Longnon to the Humble police about 8 a.m. Tuesday several hours after the alert was issued, according to the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the case.
Officials said Rodriguez is at the Humble police station. Investigators will interview him to determine where he had taken the girl and why he not returned her to her mother as he was reportedly supposed to have done.
No charges have been filed in the case so far.
Officials said Longnon was last seen Friday in Conroe when her mother had agreed to let her spend a few days with Rodriguez, who is the woman’s ex-boyfriend.
Rodriguez was supposed to return Longnon to her mother Sunday, but he didn’t, officials said. Instead he called the woman and said he wanted the girl’s birth certificate and other documents.
Officials said when Longnon’s mother questioned why he wanted the documents, Rodriguez hung up the phone and she has not heard from him since.

Well it's a relief she has been found but I hope she isn't given back to her mother! She said he had shown violent tendencies toward Robin in the past but she chose to let him take her for a few days? WTH???

If they give her back to her mother, we will be reading about this poor little girl again.

No charges have been filed against the man accused of abducting 4-year-old Robin Alissa Longnon from the Cleveland area. Instead, police have charged the girl’s mother, Megan Lognon, with Filing a False Report to a Peace Officer, a Class B misdemeanor, and Making a False Alarm or Report, a Class A misdemeanor.

When the case was first reported, the child’s mother allegedly had told police that she had not seen her daughter since Monday, Oct. 25, and that she was in the possession of the mother’s ex-boyfriend, Jorge Arturo Rodriguez, 39. A statewide Amber Alert was issued in the early morning hours on Tuesday, but was canceled later that morning when the child was returned home safely.

While the child’s home is listed as a Cleveland address, it is located within San Jacinto County and this case is being investigated by the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office.

Detective Kathryn Wick, one of the officers investigating the case, said that the case is still open and they are still trying to determine why the mother reported the child as missing or abducted. Wick also could not say at this time whether or not charges will eventually be filed against Rodriguez.

The child was briefly removed from her home by Children’s Protective Services but has since been returned.
